There is a large English-speaking business community on this coast — estate agents, legal and fiscal advisers, insurance brokers, clinics, salons, bars and restaurants — and most of it is small premises rather than corporate floors. That is exactly what we are set up for.
Contract cleaning runs at €18 an hour, scheduled outside your opening hours, with the same cleaner each visit and a keyholding arrangement if you want one. We invoice properly with IVA, which matters if you are deducting it, and we work in English throughout — the brief, the schedule, the invoice and anything that needs discussing.
One-off commercial work is priced per job: post-refurbishment cleans, seasonal resets for bars and restaurants, and pre-opening cleans for new premises.
Commercial carpet tile and office chairs take a punishing load and almost never get treated. Chairs in particular: eight hours a day of body contact, in a climate where people are in light clothing most of the year, means fabric office chairs absorb body oils and sweat salts at a rate domestic furniture never approaches. The result is the darkened, faintly shiny patches on seat backs and arms that everybody in the office has stopped seeing.
Office chairs are €12 each, or €60 for six — the same rate as fabric dining chairs. Commercial carpet and carpet tile is €9 per square metre. Both are usually done in the evening so nothing is wet during working hours.
Reception seating and waiting-room upholstery in clinics and salons is worth doing on a schedule rather than reactively. It is the first thing a client sits on and it is the fastest thing in the premises to look tired.
Commercial steam sanitises on contact and kills bacteria and mould without chlorine, ammonia or solvents. For treatment rooms, salon chairs, clinic waiting areas and food premises that is a genuine advantage over bleach-based cleaning: effective sanitising with no chemical residue on surfaces, no fumes, and nothing that needs airing off before the room is used again.
For bars and restaurants, degreasing is usually the priority — steam lifts cooking grease off tiling, extraction canopies and floors at a molecular level rather than smearing it around with detergent.
